Dr. Nina Schlossman is a leading food and nutrition expert with extensive experience in food value chain and product development, food security, food aid, food fortification, and nutrition throughout life cycle and across the range from under nutrition to obesity. She provides oversight and leads company strategy, technical assistance, research, evaluation, marketing and training services for private and public sector clients. She works with clients to create partnerships to improve the nutritional quality and diversity of the local food basket, and optimize multisectoral nutrition and food security programs. She conducts extensive research in these areas through clinical and field-based randomized controlled trials to test acceptability, efficacy, effectiveness, and cost effectiveness of products and program approaches. She has published extensively on food and nutrition and is an adjunct professor at Tufts University where she received her PhD in International Nutrition. She has a Master’s of Science in Nutritional Biochemistry and Metabolism and International Nutrition Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
